I’ve been providing drafting services for over 18 years. After earning my civil engineering degree I worked in structural design and construction inspection, before starting my New York City based drafting services business, DraftingServices.com LLC, in 2007.
One of my specialties is creating rebar shop (placing) drawings for contractors. I know that as a contractor, you need drawings that are correct and get approved. That’s what I deliver. My rebar shop drawings ensure the steel reinforcement is fabricated and installed correctly, and they consistently receive Architect of Record approval.

Below is a small rebar shop drawing project I completed for a generator foundation at the Massapequa Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. For this project, a new 87,000-lb generator, along with an associated 89,450-lb tank, was designed to sit on a segmented slab-on-grade foundation. These were very large pieces of equipment, but I kept the reinforced concrete shop drawings simple.
